Summer Refresher Series

Helping children retain the knowledge they learned last year

Although summer is the time for vacations and a rest from school work, you don’t want your child to give up any of that hard-earned knowledge they acquired this past school year. Any teacher will tell you that their students often need weeks to get back up to speed after a long summer. Research at the John Hopkins University Center for Summer Learning showed that “on average, students lose approximately 2.6 months of grade-level equivalency in mathematical computation skills over the summer months.”  Children with AD/HD or any sort of learning disability often fall back even further.

With that in mind, In-Home Tutors of Orlando is pleased to offer our new Summer Refresher series: 8 hour one-on-one tutoring programs, tailored to fit students at every grade level, prepared by tutors who understand what skills your child needs to carry forward into the next grade.  Summer Refresher courses will be held in your home, at your convenience, at a special summer price (June 1-August 8 only).

The total cost of each 8 hour course is $345 and includes an age- and grade-appropriate workbook and notebook.
